Flores Optometry Inc and COVID-19 Update

March 19, 2020

To Our Valued Patients and Families:

In view of the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic we are facing, we will be suspending all non-essential patient care for the next 3 weeks (March 18 through April 7) in accordance with the “Shelter-in-Place” recommendations that were put in place by our local Bay Area authorities.

We desire to provide the highest quality care to you, our patients, in a safe environment. We have been closely monitoring the latest national and local developments and recommendations by the CDC and local authorities regarding COVID-19. Prior to this announcement we had put in place enhanced sanitizing procedures and patient screening for our office and patients.

However, after the Shelter-in-Place order was announced today we have taken further steps to reduce our services of non-essential and non-urgent care including routine annual eye examinations. We will have a doctor on call and minimal staff available for emergencies and urgent needs such as eye injuries and infections, contact lens problems, and any other vision or health-threatening problems that our patients may experience. If you have glasses or contacts on order you will be contacted by a staff person as to our procedure for picking those up. If you are in need of contacts please visit our web site www.floresoptometry.com to order direct thru our web store or call\text us and we will get them shipped directly to you.

If you have an appointment scheduled with us, our office will contact you to reschedule your appointment.

You are all very special to us and we consider you part of our office family. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all try to work together to combat this terrible disease.

Please be safe!

With much appreciation,

Dr. Rosie Flores, Dr. Lilly Chang and the entire staff of Flores Optometry Inc
